Connecting the Digital Audio Infrastructure: Digital Workflow & AoIP Networking

This workshop will explore the differences between analog and digital workflow, various forms of AoIP (with a focus on Dante), and what you need to know as an audio engineer using today’s technology. We will take an in depth look at digital patching, Dante Controller & Virtual Soundcard, and discuss the challenges and benefits to where AoIP is taking us. We will also take a look at using certain equipment both in the studio and on the road. Bring your questions, inquiries, and curiosities. No prerequisite of networking knowledge needed to attend.

AMPD Expo 2018

AMPD Expo (Audio & Music Producers and Developers) is a one day industry event that takes place in Winston-Salem, NC. It is an industry builder in the South East region for music and entertainment manufacturers and developers to showcase and network with engineers, producers, filmmakers, venue managers, technicians, instructors, students, musicians, and songwriters. The day includes entertainment and engagement opportunities ranging from live music and food trucks to technical workshops and panels with industry professionals.

    • Tables and chairs for up to 25 people for hands-on or small demos  (ex. a guitarist playing through an amplifier; console hands-on demonstrations; equipment how-to’s)

    • Designed for local retailers or service providers, are advertising a service, who do not have a need to do a presentation or demonstration

    • Located in Vendor Marketplace
  • 10% Commission – Gear Swap
    • Individuals who want to sell a piece of equipment, accessory, instrument and do not have need for a booth.
    • Up to 3 items per person can be checked in at the Gear Swap. If you need to bring more items than 3 you may purchase a table.
    • Check in your item(s) any time during the Exhibit Hall times (no earlier than 11am) and check out any time before 4pm (closing time).
    • Staff will manage the Gear Swap area and sales based on desired price by seller
